The post holder will be supporting a top up funded pupil and therefore the term is fixed until 31st August 2024 or the withdrawal of the funding if earlier.

The ability to work as part of a team under the direction of the class teacher is essential, however we are also looking for somebody who is able to use his/her initiative to fully support the integration of the child and work through any programmes of support as indicated on the pupil’s IEP. We can offer a friendly and supportive environment with a commitment to high standards and continuing professional development.
High Down Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our pupils and we expect all in our community to share this commitment. Suitability to work with children and young people will form part of the selection process. As part of the shortlisting process, an online search will be carried out. All appointments will be subject to vetting, including an enhanced DBS check.
We are also committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates, particularly those from underrepresented groups.
