Astrea Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Executive Lead SENCO who will work to support the Head of SEND and Therapeutic Services, as well as Education Team colleagues, in securing the continued improvement of SEND and Alternative Provision practices, and to provide vital support to mainstream and specialist settings in relation to day-to-day SEND support, including the delivery of targeted interventions, where appropriate.

The successful applicant will have experience of working with Local Authorities and other stakeholders at an operational level. A thorough knowledge of teaching and learning, as well as the national curriculum, will also support the successful applicant with ensuring that curriculum adaptations are effective and support learners with SEND to access an ambitious learning experience.
Any experience in using specialist screening and assessment tools and/or the application of access arrangements would be welcomed.
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional SEND practitioner to join a dynamic team, and receive the enhanced support and opportunities that the Trust is able to provide.
We welcome all applicants who meet the essential criteria in the recruitment pack.
