The Trustees of Northern Schools Trust wish to appoint a HR Manager to work within the Trust HR Team.
Our central Human Resources team provides day to day recruitment, transactional and advisory support to the Trust. We now have an extremely exciting opportunity for an experienced human resource professional to join the human resources team in the post of HR Manager, reporting to the Director of HR.
We require a strong operationally driven Human Resource Manager with proven experience providing a comprehensive service to staff across the whole Trust. Must be CIPD Level 7 with experience of providing a professional advisory service including experience of leading and dealing with formal casework e.g. absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance management cases. You will have a strong HR background with a thorough knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and statutory requirements ideally within the education sector.
We support schools with relieving the burden of some administrative, governance, marketing and finance matters in order to free up schools’ time and resources to concentrate on what they do best: getting results for their students.

PA to Principal (Trust)

The Trustees of Northern Schools Trust wish to appoint an experienced professional to provide outstanding support as PA to Principal (Trust) based at Gateacre School.
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Principal and support to the SLT and school. As the Personal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the Principal’s schedule, communications, and administrative tasks, ensuring their time is optimised to focus on the strategic priorities of the school. You will also manage the administration function of the school.
The PA provides a high calibre, confidential and personal service to support the Principal in all aspects of their duties. They act as an ambassador for the school and the Principal.
You will be a highly organised with strong diary management skills. A proficient administrator, able to remain calm under busy periods and adapt at communicating with parents, governors, staff and external agencies.
We wish to appoint a full-time site assistant to open/lock up school site buildings, provide effective and efficient caretaking and janitorial services including moving parcels, setting up meetings/events, driving the minibus as and when required and other duties to ensure the smooth operational running of the Academy.
